Empathetic Care

My decision to specialize in pediatric dentistry came during my first clinical experience with children while in dental school.  The ability to work and relate to children came naturally to me.  Educating child and parent is an important facet of our office.  I believe in a more personable approach to pediatric dental care.  In most cases fear comes from the unknown.  My satisfaction from my profession comes from knowing that you and your child perceive a trip to the dentist in a favorable manner.

Knowledge and Competency

I received my undergraduate training in Microbiology at Florida State University.  I then attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry and received my Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD).  After a successful three year career in general dentistry, I pursued specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the Baylor University College of Dentistry in Dallas.   I received my Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry as well as a Masters Degree in Science from Baylor University.   I recently completed an executive MBA program through the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina. I was awarded the highest award for dental research while at Baylor University and I am Board-Certified by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists.   I am on the staff of All Children’s Hospital, a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists.  I have been in private practice in Pinellas County for the past thirteen years and recently moved into a new facility in the Gateway Area of St. Petersburg. 

Balance in Life 

I believe balance and diversity in life is important to your overall health. I enjoy a wide variety of artistic endeavors.  I enjoy oil painting and gardening as well as being active in environmental issues in our community.  I am active in political campaigns and have volunteered for citizens advisory committees.  I have also competed in numerous triathlons and marathons and maintain a very active and health conscious lifestyle.  When “free time” strikes me you will find me cycling, attending a yoga class or running.  My ultimate high in life is hiking, biking or kayaking in the Pacific Northwest.

I have worked for Dr. Silver for the past 11 years. I am married and have a 8 year old daughter and twin 5 year old boys who love coming to see Dr. Tom! I am currently working on my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I have worked for Dr. Silver for the past 9 years, he is the best boss ever! I play billiards on a league and love it.  I have the most amazing boyfriend, family and friends.  My "son" is a 4 year old Westie named Dexter, he is my baby boy!

I have 2 wonderful kids who love coming to see Dr Silver. We enjoy having a "family night" at home when we have time but normaly you will see us at the ball field either cheering or playing baseball and softball.  I have worked here for 10 years and love my job and friends here! I have been an assistant with Dr Silver for 6 wonderful years and love working with the kids.  I have been married for 3 years now and we are hoping to start a family soon. Have a 2 cats Jaxon and Layla.  I love listening to all types of music.

I have had an incredible journey with Dr. Silver over the past 15 years and love interacting with the kids here. I am an active member of my church and enjoy every moment I can spend with my husband. I have been working for Dr Silver for almost 3 years and enjoy working with children.  I am a second year student at St. Petersburg College/USF.  I am majoring in science with the goal of studying medicine in the future

I am a Florida native and grew up in Tampa. I am a devoted wife and loving mother of four wonderful children. When I am not working I enjoy being active outdoors. I have recently celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary by climbing the highest mountian in Maine with my amazing husband. I have worked for Dr. Silver for 5 terrific years!
